Our Curriculum
Our Learning Approach
At Bee Happy, we work from a holistic approach that combines early stimulation, multiple intelligences, neuromotor development, flashcards, and natural bilingualism. Our method is designed to take advantage of the sensitive learning periods in early childhood, allowing children to learn spontaneously and meaningfully, always respecting their own pace.
We draw inspiration from educational approaches that champion active learning, play as a fundamental tool, and the child as the protagonist. We create environments full of visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli that support overall development from the very first years.
Areas of Learning
Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED)
We help children recognise and express their feelings, build empathy, stay calm, and get along with others. Through everyday moments, they learn to share, take turns, solve little disagreements, and enjoy being part of a group. Our goal is for every child to feel safe, understood, and valued.
Communication, Language & Early Literacy
We spark curiosity and thinking skills through stories, songs, sorting games, and lots of talk. Children build vocabulary in both Spanish and English naturally – no formal lessons. They hear English as part of play, stories, and routines, so it becomes a second language without effort. Early sounds, letters, and words appear when the child is ready.
Physical Development (Gross & Fine Motor Skills)
Movement is key to learning. Our programme supports gross motor skills (crawling, walking, jumping, balancing, climbing) and fine motor skills (pincer grip, drawing, using scissors, manipulating small objects). Through active play, children gain strength, coordination, and confidence in their own bodies.
Self‑Care & Independence
We gently guide children to learn basic routines: eating by themselves, tidying up, washing hands, resting, and managing personal needs. The aim is to build self‑confidence, initiative, and age‑appropriate responsibility – little by little, with patience and encouragement.

F.A.Q.
What age do you take children from?
We welcome children from 4 months to 3 years old, placed in rooms according to their developmental stage.
What are your opening hours?
Our core nursery day runs from 9am to 4pm. For families who need a bit more flexibility, we offer early drop‑off from 7:30am and late pick‑up until 5pm. In July and August, our hours change slightly to 7:30am – 4pm.
How does the enrolment process work?
Just get in touch with us by email or WhatsApp and we’ll send you the registration forms. Once you’ve completed them and returned the documents (either by email or in person), we’ll ask for a deposit to secure your child’s place. The team will guide you through each step.
Do you provide meals? How do you handle allergies or special diets?
Yes, we do. Our meals are freshly prepared by Scolarest and are nutritionist‑approved. We can cater for allergies, intolerances, and specific dietary needs, provided we receive a medical certificate. We follow strict food safety procedures to keep every child safe.
How do you keep parents updated?
We use a daily digital app called LiveKid. It gives you real‑time updates on meals, naps, nappies, and anything else out of the ordinary. You’re also welcome to request a face‑to‑face meeting at any time.
Can I send in a packed lunch?
Yes, you can. Please keep in mind that even if you provide a packed lunch, the meal fee still applies – this is because we always prepare a back‑up meal for safety reasons.
What extended hours do you offer?
We have:
-
Early drop‑off: from 7:30am
-
Late pick‑up: until 5pm
-
Ad hoc hours: individual hours or days (subject to availability)
-
Extra weeks: during holidays, with or without a meal
How does the settling‑in process work?
We know that starting nursery is a big step for little ones and their families. That’s why we offer a gradual settling‑in period. Together with our team, you decide on a pace that feels right for your child. During the first few days, they will attend for shorter sessions, gradually building up to a full day when everyone is ready.
Do your staff speak English?
Yes. Our educators all have qualifications in Early Years and are trained in English. Children hear and use English naturally throughout the day – it’s just part of nursery life.
Can I visit the nursery before enrolling?
Absolutely. We’d love to show you around. Just book an appointment and we’ll arrange a calm, relaxed tour. You’ll get to see the rooms, meet the team, and ask any questions you have.
Do you have limited places?
Yes. We keep our rooms small to ensure every child receives individual attention, so places fill up quickly. We recommend getting in touch early to avoid disappointment.
What happens if I’m late to pick up my child?
Please let us know as soon as you can. For safety reasons, we can only release your child to the adults you’ve authorised in writing. If you need to send someone else, just let us know in advance – we always check.
